This initiative, part of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), aims to reduce barriers to employment and help job seekers launch rewarding new careers.

The partnership is designed specifically for individuals with little or no prior work experience and is open to qualified candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Not currently working for Green Water and Power or previously employed by GWP
- Currently unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week
- Eligible to work in the United States
- (For males only) Must have registered with Selective Services
- Must provide proof of address within Los Angeles County
Participants will receive hands-on training in the electrical trade, gaining valuable, marketable skills that can lead to long-term employment with GWP or provide a steppingstone to other career opportunities in the industry. This win-win collaboration ensures that GWP gains access to motivated, trainable candidates, while participants build real-world experience and a pathway to a sustainable career.

"This program is about breaking down barriers to employment," added Shelah C. Potter, Associate Director, Youth Programs & Resource Centers at Goodwill Southern California. "Together, we are offering a supportive pathway for people to enter the workforce, learn in-demand skills, and improve their lives."
