ReadersMagnet, a leading self-publishing and book marketing company, will exhibit “Miss Woollie's Wardrobe,” a children's book by Susie F. Kealy, at the book festival at Printers Row, Chicago. This will take place on September 12-13, 2026, along South Dearborn Street from Ida B. Wells to Polk.
“Miss Woollie's Wardrobe” is a charmingly illustrated story that follows Woollie, a fluffy Maine Coon cat who dreams of having a different kind of fur coat. Tired of grooming her thick, layered fur, Woollie envies her sleek, elegant friend, Rollo, a Russian Blue cat with velvet-soft grey fur. But when a surprising zipper hidden in Woollie's furry coat allows her to try on four different animal furs, she quickly discovers that none feel quite right. In the end, Woollie learns to appreciate the beauty and comfort of her own unique coat.
Inspired by a vivid dream, author Susie F. Kealy combines her lifelong love of cats with her artistic background to create a delightful tale filled with warmth and imagination. Kealy studied at Parsons School of Design, the New York School of Interior Design, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, specializing in architectural renderings and oil still-life painting.
The book's whimsical illustrations are brought to life by freelance illustrator Cheryl Rauseh, whose expertise in both traditional and digital art adds color, expression, and charm to Woollie's unforgettable journey.
The book festival at Printers Row is known for bringing readers and authors together through engaging conversations, curated literary works, and a shared passion for storytelling.
